Your instructors will tell you what to study, but they may not tell you how to study. As someone who probably has a college degree and has made it this far, they figure you already know.
The following articles are from James Albright at www.code7700.com, and I felt they were too good to not share. He shares study techniques from his time in the Air Force (where they do tell you how to study), he shares an example of "Cornell Notes", and other techniques he's used throughout his career.
I didn't happen across these articles until recently, but I am eager to use them at my next training event.
